HOST GATOR REVIEW

HOST GATOR REVIEW

Host gator is web-hosting company founded in 2002 by Brent Oxley. Host Gator took the market in a storm, by 2006 Host Gator had passed the 200,000 mark in domain registration. The next year (2007) host gator had grown too big and it needed more space, so the founders  moved their company from Florida to a new 20,000 square foot office in Texas. In 2008 and eight the HostGator was ranked No. 21 in by Inc. Magazine as the fastest growing companies in USA market.

In 2009, the company started experiencing some management difficulties until the founder sold it to Endurance International Group which owns a number of other web hosting brands. Below are the pros and cons of Host Gator service.

PROS

Host Gator has an overall rating of a 4 and a ½ user rating: Clients are quite happy with the company services. Host Gator is also known for its huge discounts, it give good discounts from time to time. The discounts are often for every domain registered.

Customer support: Host Gator has one of the fastest customer support feedbacks. Fast response from customer care makes it easy for clients to sort their issues and get back to what they were doing. Their email support is always opened 24/7, not only that but you can also reach their customer support through social medias such twitter, Facebook and google +. Clients can get help via phone and live charts. For those clients prefer trying to solve their own problems Host Gator has up several resources such as video tutorial to help you solve those problems.

Money-Back Guarantee: Host gator gives up to 45 days money back guarantee to its clients, clients have up to 45 days to cancel their accounts if they think that Host Gator is not working out for them and need to change the hosting company.

Great email tools: no matter how many domains you may have registered with Hostgator, Hostgator enables its clients to create unlimited email addresses to associate with their specific domains. This is a crucial detail to clients who are using their sites to manage/promote their business, it gives them the freedom to create a set of emails to enable them to keep track of their employees and customers. They also provide email filters to prevent spam and virus emails

Website development: Web development can be a tricky thing to do. For  someone to qualify as web developer h/she has to know how to code, well not anymore. Host Gator made it easy to build websites withought coding with their Base Kit Site Builder tool. This tool enables one to design a dynamic website and include all sorts of features such as shopping carts, CMs, blog and wiki in a website faster and easier than before. Host Gator also provides more than 4000 designed template that you can customize to your own liking.

CONS

The downside with hosting with Hostgator is not much, the main setback is their weekly server backups are not that reliable. For people who upload lots of content to their sites in daily basis may not have enough backup servers. This can be a problem is the servers go down due to power issues or multifunction, clients could lose their data.

I can conclude by saying that this company is doing well for itself and their clients. There are other minor details I may have left out but generally, this company has many pros than con so I think it is a company worth trying for your web hosting services.
